PROGRAMME
Day 1 - Arrival in Sofia and accommodation in 5 * Sheraton Hotel.
Casino Viva is housed in the hotel. It has 10 gaming tables (one of which is Live Texas Hold'em) and 55 gaming machines. Tour of the city center (about 3 hours). Visiting the city monuments of four civilizations - Thracian, ancient Greek, Roman and medieval Bulgarian. Visit the St. Sophia church (5th, 6th century AD), given its current name of the city. Visit the largest cathedral in the city Alexander Nevski Cathedral, St. George Rotunda (3rd, 4th century BC) and the city walls.
Dinner
Day 2 - Breakfast.
Excursion by bus to the Boyana Church, which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located on the outskirts of Sofia. Visit the Historical Museum, located in the presidential residence. In it is placed an exposition of objects from antiquity to the present days, interesting numismatic collections, jewelry and traditional clothing.
Leisure time.
Dinner in a restaurant with traditional cuisine and folk music.
Day 3 - Breakfast. Departure to Plovdiv. Accommodation in a 4 * Trimontium Princes hotel located in the center of town. The hotel has one of the largest casinos in Bulgaria. It is placed in an area of 1200 m2.
Tour of the city. This city is older than Athens, Rome and Constantinople. Founded in the time of ancient Troy. There are many archaeological findings from Thracian times. In the ancient world the Thracian people were best known for its wines and its fast horses. In the Odyssey Homer describes how the Thracian priest Maros gives Odysseus "... twelve amphorae of sweet, undiluted wine, the divine drink ...
From Roman times until today are preserved the largest public buildings built in the city, which at that time was named Trimontium (town on three hills). This is the Roman Theatre (late 1st and early 2nd century AD). It is with great acoustics and is used even today for performances and outdoor concerts. Other monuments from that era are the Roman Forum (2nd century BC) and the Roman stadium (2nd century AD) with length of 180 m and places of 30,000 spectators.
The old town is situated on one of the hills. Its beautiful houses from the 18th and 19th century are evidence of economic prosperity, which has enjoyed the city during this period. At that time it was successfully compete as a commercial center with Thessaloniki and Istanbul. Today many of these houses have been converted into exhibition halls and restaurants.

Day 4 - Breakfast. Day trip Plovdiv - Hisar - Starosel – with tasting included in Panagyurishte and Starosel.
Hisar city is famous for its 22 thermal springs located in a small area with different physic-chemical characteristics and temperature, with proven healing properties. The first organized spa in Bulgaria started there in 1882 as the mineral water was used since antiquity. Many of the springs were undertaken by the Romans. Here were treated the Roman legionaries, wounded in battles. In 293 the Emperor Diocletian gave it the status of city and has since started its embankment with massive walls and implementation of new urban style. The walls reached a height of 13 m and were fortified with 44 towers.
Starosel becomes known in recent years with the largest Thracian tomb discovered in the vicinity. It is dated from the late 5th, early 4th century BC. Most likely it was Sitalk, a powerful ruler of one of the Thracian kingdoms.
Visit winery Starosel. Lunch and wine tasting.
Panagyurishte is a city associated with the struggle for independence. During the Ottoman rule it was the city of artisans and merchants. In 1876 it is one of the main centers of the April uprising. It ends with a lot of blood and fire. The town was almost completely burned. But thanks to this rebellion two years later, Bulgaria gained its freedom. Visit the historical museum with its exhibition of the Panagyurishte gold treasure. Panagyurishte Thracian treasure is an ancient golden drinking service, consisting of nine gold vessels with a total weight of 6.164 kg and was found in 1949 near the town of Panagyurishte in the "Merul" area. It is dated from the end of IV and the beginning of III century BC. Visit the Rumelia winery with tasting of wines from the "Merul" selection. Return to Plovdiv.
Dinner.
Day 5 - Departure to Sunny Beach. Accommodation in the 4 *, Fiesta Hotel located on the beach, near the biggest casino in Bulgaria, Platinum casino.
It is placed on an area of 3000 m2. It has 22 gaming tables and 136 slot machines. Sunny Beach is the biggest sea resort in Bulgaria. It is located in the bay beach with fine sand strip about 10 km long and with width of 30 to 60 m. The resort has over 200 hotels, many bars and restaurants.
Visit the town of Nessebar, a city museum, declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is founded by the Thracians, and in IV century BC became a Greek colony and a city-state. Due to its location the city developed as a major commercial fishing center. The old town was declared by UNESCO as a city museum. In it are preserved houses in the typical architectural style of the 18th-19th century, as well many churches. The city was famous for its 40 churches, most of which are built during the reign of Ivan Alexander (1331-1371). The number of the churches is impressive for such a small town and makes it the city with the most churches per capita in the world.
Day 6 - day 10 - holiday in Sunny Beach
Day 11 - Breakfast. Departure to Sofia.
On the way is a stop for visiting the Kazanlak Thracian Tomb, with the famous frescoes from the 4th century BC. It was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Small rest within the roses of the ethnographic complex “The Tower”, exposing the history of the Rose Valley. The kind hosts met in the old local custom with rose jam and a glass of rose liqueur.
Lunch. Departure to Sofia. The road passes through the Rose Valley. There are over 80% of the total planted in Bulgaria 36,000 acres of oil rose. Annual production varies from 1.8 to 2 tons. Bulgaria is the largest exporter in the world of rose oil. But more importantly, because of specific climate and soil Bulgarian rose oil is the highest quality. Therefore, all major perfume companies like Chanel, Givenchy, Christian Dior, Nina Ricci etc used in perfume Bulgarian rose oil and rose oil from other countries is used by mass perfumery. One kilogram rose oil is worth, according to the year from 4500 to 5500 euros. Visit rose distillery and familiarization with the technology of production of rose oil.
